#1 ยท Dec 2, 2011 Anyone tried to turbo a 4.0L Ranger before? My brother is into turbos and I was rolling ideas round in my head bout giving it a try on my Ranger. Anyone see any major problems with this idea? Weak points in the motor or anything? I would only run round 6 to 8 PSI boost max, nothing wild n crazy.

TURBO The key to the systems functionality, turbine and impeller trims as well as casing size has a huge effect on the spool time and amount of air moved/boost provided. This is what I recommend for a good versatility and I use mine as a daily driver. -T3 .48ar turbine with a T4 .57 trim impeller Mine is from turbonetics.

The supercharger is currently unbelted. The 4.0 has headers and an MSD DIS-4 ignition but that's all i can tell you for certain. I suspect it may have a slighty warmer cam than stock also. Running as is it will break the new 35" BFG M/T's loose on take off. 65mph at 2400rpm so it not geared all that short either.
